Feeling a bit uneasy about scheduling my induction
I am penciled in for an induction at exactly 39 weeks. Doc said it may be better to pencil it in now on the day she is on call and change my mind later vs wanting to schedule it when she isn't available.
I delivered DS#1 at exactly 39 weeks.
I'm 36.5 weeks pregnant now and 1cm dilated. I should be pretty close to the end at 39 weeks.

I'm confused... why are you scheduling an induction?
(I'm only 24 weeks, sorry if this is a silly question!)

Some doctors induce after 39 weeks.
Some wait until 40+ weeks but my doctor does it from 39 weeks.

Wow, I know nothing! I've never heard of that before!
You would rather go into labor naturally is what you're saying, right? Is your baby measuring large now? Even if you schedule this now, can't you change your mind later and push it back by a week if you don't go on your own?

Yes, I can change it if I change my mind. She just wanted to give us the option.
I asked about c section risk and she said since I had an uncomplicated first vaginal delivery and everything is progressing well, I should have no problems.
