Feeling lightheaded and scared to drive

I am 23 weeks pregnant with twins and am having many lightheaded/tingly/warm/heavy breathing episodes. I am doing my best to keep up with my fluids and to avoid ups and downs with my blood sugar. I had a bad experience at a sono a few weeks ago and at the dentist this week. I have also had a few issues while driving, but never that bad... until today. I got to work safe and sound (3 miles from my house) but the feeling would not go away and the nurse at the school where I teach sent me home. I called the doc, spoke to a NP and was told that it is normal. While I realize this is true, the thought of having this feeling again while driving is making me so anxious. As of now, my doc wants me on modified bedrest (work only) the second week of Feb and full bedrest March 13th. Do you think if it happens again I could ask him for a note to stop working earlier? I want to work as long as I can, but I am so scared to drive! WWYD?

eta... my wonderful DH picked me up today. I did not drive home.

i would ask for the note.
it's dangerous for you and for others on the road for you to drive like that.
