Feeling like a terrible Mommy- any advice??
I have 21 days until Baby Brody's arrival and am exhausted and as big as a house!!!!!
For the last month or so, I have absolutely nooooooo patience for Ava. She is a handful normally, but I think she is getting really stressed with all of the changes going on. New room, furniture, all this new baby stuff in the house- and getting ready for a new school for Pre-k..
She has been whiney, clingy and fresh,fresh,fresh.... She has been name calling and saying "I hate You" to everyone, including myself and Dh.
I feel like lately, I would do anything to get time away from her. I jump at the chance for my Mom or Dh to take her anywhere for a little while. I feel like she is doing everything she can to prevent me from getting ready for baby- and that is driving me nuts!!!
Am I horrible???? Did anyone else go throught this. Why am i feeling soo frustrated at her all the time, when I should be savoring our last days alone together...???? (That sounded very melodramatic)..... Oooohhh Well, I am almost 9 months pg..

you are not a terrible mommy, you have a lot on your plate...I say you have your dh and mom keep taking dd out and you get some rest before ds arrives

Re: Feeling like a terrible Mommy- any advice??
Your def not a bad mom. I felt EXACTLY the same way toward DD#1 after DD#2 was born. DD#1 is just such a handful and is also very fresh with the same type of comments. We constantly hear I dont like you, I dont want to be your daughter ect....It is just so exhasting to be around her sometimes. Even though DD#1 was 100% a mommys girl, she soon was forced to become a daddys girl as I insisted DH spend more time with her to get a break. Things eventually settle back again but I am still dealing with the attitude issues from a 3 year old!

Re: Feeling like a terrible Mommy- any advice??
You are definately not a terrible mommy ...My DS will be 3 in October and I am 5 months along and am going through the same exact situation ! And to make matters worse, I am supposed to be on modified bed-rest due to complete placenta previa- try telling that to a 3 year old- ! I think they really just pick up on all the excitement and change and it throws them out of whack (well at least thats what I'm trying to convince myself !)...I bet once your DS is here, it might be tough at first but eventually it will all settle in and fall into place You're not alone though
