feeling on edge (slightly IF related)

venting with thoughts that posting will make me feel beter...

...just feeling totally on edge this afternoon. After work, I have to visit a newborn (yup, maternity ward and the whole nine yards ) and I'll hear biopsy results of an extremely close family member. Based on this family member's history and the lack of a "good news!" phone call this afternoon, it's not looking promising.

And, I'll have a wake to go to later this week and DH leaves in a few days for his second week-long business trip this month.

This day can't end soon enough.

I survived the visit to the maternity ward -- baby is adorable, though the birth story was terrifying.

Biopsy was, as expected, malignant. This is now the second organ it's spread to, beyond the original cancer site. But, on the bright side, the biopsy itself seems like it removed just about all of it. Let's hope that was the only tumor!
