fence/retaining wall on a corner?

Does anyone know what the rules are in Nassau Co? Particularly ToHempstead.

I know you can't obstruct a driver's vision and some places have rules about fences being a certain distance from the property line. I'm just curious if anyone knows where I could find such info.

One of the houses we were looking at is on a corner and I saw an episode of "Curb Appeal" on HGTV where they built a little retaining wall around the perimeter and that's something I would definitely be interested in doing.

TIA

TOH has zoning laws online here:

Click on General Code Publishers

It's kind of hard to navigate.
Also, if you go to TOH Town Hall at 1 Washington and get the person you speak w/ on the right day, they can be pretty helpful.

Thanks! That was very helpful! I found this:

On any corner lot, no wall, fence or other structure shall be erected or altered and no hedge, tree, shrub or other growth shall be maintained at a height greater than 2 1/2 feet at any point within a radius of 20 feet of the point formed by any intersecting property lines adjacent to roads or highways, and provided further that such height shall be measured from the existing elevation of the center line of such road or highway opposite such wall, fence, other structure, hedge, tree or shrub.
