Fetal doppler- UPDATE

Where can I get one today? I am freaking out. I would like to rent or buy the better one like the ones online but can I get them in person anywhere? My belly looks much flatter today on the start of my 16th week. I go to the doctor Monday so there is no use ordering one, I just have a bad feeling and last time my feeling was right at 12 weeks

I don't know where you can buy one today.I got mine from ebay. Perhaps you can try ebay and search within 20 miles of your zip - maybe you can pick it up directly? Try not to worry, maybe it's just bloat going down?

I have one, do you want to borrow it? I don't use it anymroe either, I bought it to feel secure in the begining. I think I stopped using mine after my level II. Let me know I hope all is fine, I am sure it is but I bought my doppler off of ebay and got it in 3 days. Speedy!

Not sure where you can get one fast but I just wanted to say that I hope everything is okay. If you're very nervous I wouldn't wait until Monday, call your doctor today!! I'll be thinking of you.

If you call your OB, maybe they can tell you where to rent one.


If its any help - I'm 19 weeks, and I think my belly looks different sometimes. When I first get up in the morning, it looks flatter. But at the end of my work day, its pretty big

Thank for all the ideas girls. I'll let you know what happens. I just don;t want to go buy that $20 one, not find it, and freak out even more. I don't even know if my dr is there today (Good Friday).

Honestly, I highly suggest you don't get one. What if you aren't using it right and you can't hear the heartbeat, won't that upset you even more?

Why put the extra unnecessary stress on yourself and leave it to the doctor/professionals to do.


ETA: My belly changes all the time and I'm 25 weeks. In the morning it looks way smaller than it does at night. Try not to worry yourself, I'm sure everything is fine.

I look very different in the morning than I do in the evening. If it gives you peace to call your doctor, then call your doctor. There may be a back up doc who can bring you in for a sonogram to make you feel better.

I think you need to try and relax ...I know its hard...but if you do a search on here of 15 or 16 weeks you'll find that most women dont even feel or look pregnant at this time....It made me feel better....


some days I feel and look so pregnant but on some days, like today, I feel so "unpregnant" that I worry....


Take it day by day and enjoy b/c then later on we'll look back and regret that we didnt enjoy our pregnancies as much as we wanted to!!!!!

my stomach is exactly the same way - my mom even told me the other day that i look "fat" and not "pregnant" even though she told me two days prior that i had "popped"

plus, i think your belly will probably change more during the day because you are so thin!! i am sure if you call your dr they will check you with the doppler for peace of mind - that is what they are there for

A HUGE thank you to 1sttimemom who let me borrow her Stork Radio Doppler. That thing is awesome and I think I am going to rent one. I found the HB within seconds and it brought me so much peace!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone!!!!

i really feel that , at this point in your pregnancy , if something was wrong, your body would tell you. (prolly by bleeding or something) I really believe that or else i would go crazy

I'm glad you found relief.

I have to say around this time (16wks) the bloat went away and thus my stomach seemed smaller than it had previously. Perhaps that's all it is...boat going away, and going forward it's all baby.
