Fever and Ped Question

Do you take your DC to the ped every time they run a fever? How do you determine they should go to the doctor? DS has a cold or something, is definitely cutting 2 year molars and is running a fever now. It was 102.3 this morning. When do you decide they need to go to the ped vs. riding it out?

Re: Fever and Ped Question

I usually call the ped after day 3 of a fever. Since a fever typically means there is an infection somewhere, I rather be safe then sorry.
