fever for 24 hours but no symptoms...

DS had 99.8 yesterday A.M
we had a scheduled 15 month check up so i told the dr about his fever earlier they checked it was 100.2 within 10 min they checked again, because they cant give the MMR vaccine if he is running a fever they thought maybe from his coat on his temp was up a little...well it was 100.8 !!! no other symptoms no red throat and his ears are ok. they didnt really see a tooth coming in so they said it could be a virus bruing. today he still has 100.8 the fever has not gone down but thank god hasnt gone up, i have been rotating infant motrin and tylenol. He just looks out of it, a little cranky, not eating as much...other then that he has no other symptoms. has anyones DC ever have this before? if so, what did it end up becoming and how long did it last?

My DS had this last year. My DS' temp was higher (103) then went down, then back up to 104.
I called the ped..He told me rotate the motrin and tylenol and it worked.
The next day I took him in and turned out it was just a virus. He was "clear' everywhere else.
*I took him the next day, cuz the fever went higher after hours & I called the emergency line*
Just keep doing the motrin and tylenol. It should work and I hope your DC feels better soon.

DD has had this twice, Dr said it was a virus or a possible tooth coming thru but we still have no teeth so im guessing it was a virus. just keep doing the tylenol/motrin.

thanks for the reassurance...its just so weird to me, i have a 3 year old and she never got this. the fever went down a little, from 100.8 to 100.2 so when he gets up from nap i will give him something again. thank u for responding!
