I found out I'm not immune to fifths. I know this was not the reason for my m/c's because I did not contract the disease. However I just read absolute horror stories on baby center about women who caught it during their pregnancy and the baby did not make it. SCARY! I work with kids (I'm a teacher) and there are ALWAYS cases in my school. If you're pregnant and not immune they move you to another school; but most times you don't know when the kid is contagious because the rash shows up after they have already been contagious. Of course I realize it's out of my control; and I will try to be so careful around the kids and wash my hands, not touch them, etc... but its difficult because I have small groups and work with them closely. I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about this. When I mentioned it to my gyno he didn't make a big deal that I wasn't immune and my RE doesn't even know what fifths disease is!
