Sitting on my couch. I hobbled into the bathroom as quickly as I could because I didn't want to leak on the rug.

Older  - just leaked all day from 10 am until he has born at 7:30 pm. I had to wear pads to keep the seat dry in the car.
Younger - huge explosive plop- 2:00 am...on my couch.

With my oldest, I was ten days late, and at home, getting ready to go to the doctor's office. With my second, I was induced and they broke it in the hospital.

With my first, I was in the shower.
With my second, it never broke.
With my third, I was home, watching the season finale of Top Chef Season 1.
I guess I was lucky bc I was home and the water breaking was never a huge gush, just the continuous trickle.

Mine didn't til after DS was born. Your water only has to break a tiny bit for the baby to be born and that is what happened with me.

Woke up at 2 am with what I thought might be contractions and losing my mucous plug. Wondering for 4 hours if I was in labor (contractions every 3-5 minutes). Figured I'd go for a walk and then call the doctor after 7 am.
At 6am sitting on the edge of my bed putting on my shoes I felt a "pop" and a big shift in my bely. I ran into the bathroom and the flood came.
This was how we realized I actually was in labor.

#1 - Sitting on the couch watching tv and writing out shower thank you cards. I coughed or something and started leaking and then eventually a gush (was in the bathroom by the time the gush came luckily). Luckily I left work early enough that day or could have been on the LIRR.
#2 - I was 9cm and in the hospital.

All 3 times my water never broke until the Dr did it and I was at least 7cm.

in the hospital, watching scrubs on tv..dh and i looked at eah other and said did u hear that..i t was a popping sound and sure enought it was broken lol
