Filet mignon
How do you cook it? What sides and appetizers should I make with it for Christmas dinner?

Re: Filet mignon
I almost always cook it outside on my grill.... It really comes out the best that way, for me at least. I love to make grilled asparagus with it and some kind of potato - like twice baked or red bliss in butter.

In my opinion, nothing is more delish with beef than Yorkshire Puddings, they are so easy to make and very impressive! you can google a recipe, make sure your oil is very hot and you don't open your oven to check on them.

Re: Filet mignon
I like twice baked potatoes and green beans as sides. And a nice big caeser salad.

potatoes au gratin and creamed spinach, buttermilk mashed potatoes.
grilled asparagus w/ hollaidas (sp?), sauteed mushroom and onion.
I agreed 100% with the ceaser salad to - it is perfect.

Re: Filet mignon
Are you making it as a whole roast? Sear it then pop it in the oven...
