Filing for disability?
Who has info on doing this? Can you point me in the right direction...it's better than nothing!

so Unum handles the NY State disablility, and i spoke with them already. You should call, and potentially set it up, and they will email you any forms that your dr has to sign, if you have a pribe short term disability then you need to just speak with them, and start the process as well.

I had to contact my HR dept. They sent me all the necessary paperwork we (the Dr. and I) needed to complete for FMLA and short-term disability. I received it while I was just shy of my 2nd trimester and sent everything back, completed last week w/5 weeks to go.

Our NY State disability is handled by Cigna - it differs from company to company.
I would contact your HR/leave administrator and see what info they have - hopefully they are better than mine (HR was good but, the people in charge of handling my cases - both times, different people - were morons).

crashing- mine was the same. HR gave me a letter w/ Cigna's number and I just called after the baby was born to let them know and if was a vaginal or c section birth.
