Finger foods for 10 month old...
Can somebody give me some suggestions on some finger foods for my DD?
I'm so paranoid about her choking. I'm so afraid to give her anything but puffs or cheerios.
I have given her pieces of boiled carrots, potatoes, shreds of chicken, peas, but I need some more ideas.
TIA!

Re: Finger foods for 10 month old...
We had a 10 month well visit on Sat DD started foods later (6 months) so she might be different from others but she is on my ped's schedule. DD started puffs and cheerios last month.
He suggested this month we start w/: -plain yogurt w/ mixed in fruit (jarred or fresh mashed b/c it has less sugar than the flavored yogurts) -whole scrambled eggs or hard boiled eggs mashed into tiny pieces -french toast -pancakes -white fish- some peds say no fish until later so you might want to hold on that one -soft cheese
I know I also did with DD#1: pastina avocado melon (cantelope - cut up into very very tiny pieces) Other softer fruits cut into tiny pieces. I steamed baby carrots until they were very soft then cut them up into really tiny pieces.
I also - it isn't finger foods but DD#1 used to like when I made chicken stock, then cooked the pastina in that or other small like alphabet pasta and I would mix in really tiny pieces of steamed carrots and zucchini into it.
When she did okay with those - We tried hamburger, turkey and chicken - and made like patties or meat balls out of the above then cut it up into tiny pieces - my ped recommends that b/c it is easier to chew than a piece of grilled chicken to start.
I have a good chicken meatball recipe that DD#1 loved.
