fingerprints/babyproofing LCD TVs
My girls LOVE to try and touch our new flat screen LCD tv....DH is sooo ******
How do we get the fingerprints off the screen? We have a cloth but you're not supposed to use any cleansers right?

Re: fingerprints/babyproofing LCD TVs
I use swiffer mitts. I wet it a tiny bit and ring all the water I can out of it - I mean REALLY ring it - it's barely damp. I clean it with that and then I go over with a dry one.

I think a slightly damp soft cloth is ok to use. No chemicals, just plain water on a very soft cloth.

Re: fingerprints/babyproofing LCD TVs
If they can reach it, they can ruin it - My cousin had JUST bought a new 60 something inch flat screen. Her 2.5 year old was playing with her princess wand, and banged it into the screen - She put a teeny tiny pin hole in the screen - Goodbye TV.
They got a new one and have plexiglass in front of it. - IMO that totally defeats the purpose of the LCD flat screen ..........I'd mount it on the wall !!

You can mount it on the wall and then the toys come flying at the TV...... Oops I didn't meant to throw my matchbox car through the TV, don't be mad...........

Re: fingerprints/babyproofing LCD TVs
I have a 2 year old so I know all about it... We ended up buying something in Best Buy that can be used to clean the flat screen TVs. It's called Monster ScreenClean. It says right on the bottle "Save, alcohol-free formula is ideal for cleaning LCD and Plasma TVs." HTH.
