First Aunt Flo and Weight Loss
Just wondering if anyone noticed that the baby weight started coming off faster after u got your AF. I FINALLY got mine..it took just about 3 months for it to come, and i'm wondering if maybe the weight will come off even faster now?? With my first DS, i got my AF in about a month, and my baby wieght did come off faster, but it could have been because I was younger too... Just wondering what others experienced with this.

Re: First Aunt Flo and Weight Loss
I just got it 2 days ago after 5 weeks post partum, and exclusively pumping. Same thing happened with DC #1 and the weight came off faster with DC 1 so far.

Re: First Aunt Flo and Weight Loss
For me it made a huge difference. Though I think it was mostly because I stopped BF. It was easier to work out (not having to spend 30 min pumping/cleaning/etc before exercising) and I wasn't freakin' ravenous all the time so I ate a lot less!

Thanks!!! I know, i'm still trying to figure out why someone whom i do not even know in real life would make such an assumption. Funny thing is for those who know me, know that ever since i had dc no. 2, i am the happiest i've ever been! I don't know how simply asking a question about AF and weight would imply that a person is not happy. Oh well.

I don't get that either. Why take a shot like that? Nasty!

I agree as well.
I see a lot of posts that pertain to weight loss. Like an obsession with weight.
I can understand bc when I was younger, I too had an obsession with being a certain weight and even though I'm not happy with my current weight, I'm much healthier (mentally) about it.
Maybe instead of posting on here - you should seek some professional help with the issue? I did and it helped me.

Re: First Aunt Flo and Weight Loss
With both my DC the weight just came right off once I stopped BF completely. WIth my first, my AF didn't come until I stopped (about 10.5 mos pp) so yes. With my second, AF came before I stopped (8.5 mos pp) and there was no difference before or after AF. For me, the turning point was BF. That said, as you noted, it was much more difficult with #2 than #1 even though I started both pregnancies at the exact same weight and gained virtually the exact same amount of weight with each.

I lost about 18 lbs so far...i am happy..i was frustated, not unhappy, in the beginning because it was coming off VERY slow..that does not make me an unhappy person...Sorry for any confusion. I also do not neeed to seek therapy..I have always been very conscience of my weight and diet, i do not binge, or have any disorders. In the future maybe i need to be more careful what i write on these boards...Too funny.

Wow, I don't post often and this is why. U people can be so mean and judgemental. Isn't the entire reason for these boards to get advice no matter what the subject is? I think 99 percent of women are concerned with losing the baby weight and that doesn't make u need therapy.
I guess there are bullies at every age!

I don't think Ali's a bully AT ALL!! I do think she is spot on!
And KarenAnthony, I think you are lucky for the amount of weight that you gained and how quickly you're losing. May seem slow in your eyes because I'm sure you wanted to be back to pre-prego size yesterday, as most of us do. Not all of us are so lucky..

I agree. I don't think she was being a bully at all. The fact is the OP has posted about her weight several times since giving birth which gives others the impression that she is unhappy.
You have already lost most of the weight which is a huge accomplishment. These posts in general make me nuts because I think women put so much unnecessary pressure on themselves to lose the weight right away and its just not right. It took you 9 months to gain it, so you just have to try to be patient. I am 5 months PP so trust me, i know how it is. You will be back to pre-preg weight in no time at this rate. Just try not to make yourself crazy over it.

When you post about your weight, trying a different diet every 5 days desperately wanting to lose more then recommended healthy 1 lb a week weight loss - IMO, It's a problem.
I posted because I actually had a problem at some point in my life. I didn't binge, purge or exercise myself to death. But I picked apart everything I ate, always counted every single calorie. Was, well, kind of the way you have been with the dieting and absolute NEED to drop weight super fast and look a certain way.
I got help. Offered the advice. That's what these boards are for. Not all advice is "What you want to hear" Sorry if I offended you with sharing my personal experience with this issue.

thanks..i'm glad you got help with your issue.
One of the reasons i wanted to lose the weight fast was too get back into some of my clothes because i was too cheap to buy clothes in bigger sizes..another reason was because i had a wedding and wanted to get into a dress that I had so i didn't have to buy another. And to clarify for others reading this, i was only ever on weight watchers, but then i saw people posting about south beach and decided to try it for two weeks, but then decided it wasn't for me and went right back to weight watchers which i'm still doing with success. I'm sorry if some of you find my older posts on the diet and exercise board annoying. As far as this post, i asked the question because someone told me that after they got AF the weight came right off, i had never heard of that, so i was inquiring.
