First day of menopur.. Freaking out
Hi all
Any feedback on menopur. Does it hurt
Today will be my first day and so nervous
What kind of side effects should I expect
How will I feel tomorrow. And I delusional to think I'll be going to the gym tomorrow?

How are you taking it? In the belly or behind? Mine were all intra muscular so my injection site hurt a bit but as far as the menopur you should be ok. I didn't have any side effects and went about my daily activities. I think you will be ok to go to the gym.

It may burn a little- don't freak out totally normal. Other than that it's a really easy medication to take and I found no other symptoms. Good luck!

I had to take all my injections intramuscularly and had no problem with the Menopur. I've heard people say that it stings/burns, but that never happened to me. Some people recommend putting ice on the area before the shot to numb it -- good luck!

It burned me a little. My DH did my shots...we found the slower he went was less burning for me. I didn't have too many symptoms.

I injected it in my belly and boy did it burn. Just inject it quickly.

Thank you so much ladies. I needed to hear that. I took it in my stomach and numbed it as suggested. Some burning but at least I expected it. One down

I've been doing it in the stomach as well. The pinch from the needle does not hurt, I think its more the thought of doing it was more frightening for me. It does burn a little, don't worry you'll be a pro after the first or second time.

I did it in my stomach too and I noticed that one night my husband did it super fast and it hurt so bad and I bruised! Then I started doing it myself and did it soooo slowly and I noticed it didn't really burn at all!

It didn't burn at all for me-I iced area before for like 5 mins and was totally fine! Good luck!

Tonight was my first time with it, too. I felt like a mad scientist while mixing it. It definitely burned while I was doing it, but after is was fine.

Try in the upper thigh, my dr preferred all subcutaneous injections so there and much easier .
