First injection tonight - NERVOUS

I am a nervous wreck. I am doing miimal-stimulation IVF, finished my 5 days of Clomid, and have to give myself an injection of Bravelle tonight (between 6 and 9pm) and tomorrow night. Then Tuesday I go in for monitoring, then every day until follies mature enough to trigger with HCG before ER.

I am a nervous wreck about the shot. I am such a sissy.


Anyone know why it has to be between 6 and 9?

I just gave myself the first injection on Thursday and I was really nervous... but honestly it was not bad at all.. you dont even feel it. YOu can do it..... it is just the anticipation that is the worst. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know they told me between 7-10 to take the shorts everyday... dont know why..

Good luck with the shot!!! If it is a IM shot in the tush and you are doing it yourself, you might want to ice it first. Then while I am standing I relax the leg I am going to inject by bending my knee and turning it toward my other knee. That seems to relax the muscle.

It is an IM shot, and I had DH do it for me. I am way too much of a sissy to do it myself.


It did not hurt too bad. I thought it would be worse. Its funny, I CANNOT handle a simple shot, but with anything else, I have a HIGH threshold for pain.
