First period after giving birth ? (a little TMI)
So I thought that I got my period the other day but it was super light and today its pretty much gone. Do you think that was my period? I heard that the first period you have after giving birth is usually really heavy and can be painful so Im a little confused. It wouldnt even matter but Im supposed to start BCP the sunday after my period starts and now I dont know what to do

My first period PP started with a few days of spotting- on and off- I thought it was just spotting or my post partum bleeding starting up again.
Then it came on full force- and it was very heavy!

Yup...get those super absorbency tampons/pads ready. I was  at how heavy it was and really not prepared.

Me too. I thought it was my period too even though it was like 2 days of really light bleeding. But then a week or so later it come on full force, heavier than before being pregnant. But 6 months later its getting better/more normal.

I had the same thing. Only lasted 1-2 days VERY light/hardly anything and then the following month, WHAM!!! It was so heavy I don't know how I was still walking. I was going through 1 pad every hour. It was horrible! I wasn't cramping but the amount I was bleeding was unbelievable.
I just had my 2nd period PP and it was my normal period thankfully.

Mine was the same way. I had a very light first period after birth, and then my second one was totally back to normal. I never had any of the crazy heavy ones that people talk about!

I actaully called my OB's office to ask about it- I thought I was bleeding to death.
They don't prepare you for this- and they should!

I think everyone is different - though most people experience thiers heavier than usual.
Mine has actually been lighter than usual without any cramping (sooooo not typical for me pre-pregnancy!) and it has been extremely regular.
