First period post C/S - a little tmi too

I had my baby in early May. I bled pretty heavily for the first 6 weeks I was home. At 9 weeks DH and I were together. I am roughly 13 weeks post partum and still have not had my period. About a week ago I took a pregnancy test - negative.

Can it take this long to get your period back? I am not BF. Could my first period have been while I was bleeding during those 6 weeks? I feel like no matter what I research I get such different responses.

i said a similar thing to my doc...about the 6 weeks of bleeding (that's what i had too).

she asked me - at any point did it get lighter and then get heavy again? my answer was yes and she said - THAT was my first period....so you may be due VERY soon...
