First time posting on this board-OBGYN visit questions
I have a dr. appointment today and I want to discuss with him our TTC path (as we begin to walk into this world).
Any pertininent questions I should be asking him? Should I ask for the vitamins? What should I ask?

Yes get the preconcieve vitamins.
I guess your questions would depend on a few things. Are your cycles regular? If so then the next step is easy...BD! Make sure you know what day to BD & the signs of ovulation.

My periods were not regular when I got on the pill some 10 years ago. I guess I should mention that to him.
Also I am a MORON when it comes to understanding all of the terms and techniques you all discuss on here.
How would I determine when I am ovulating? Can I buy something that will tell me this.
I try to concieve before, during and/after this happens?
You know, you spend so many years trying NOT to get pregnant and now I know nothing

I called my doctor before TTC and she was most interested in any medications that I and DH were both taking. She also had me add folic acid vitamins.

When I went to my Ob/GYN we discussed:
discussed dental surgery I was planning on having, what parts should be done befpre TTC and what can be done while TCC or PG
My current diet/exercise program and any changes I plan to make
my current cycle length and when I can expect to O
What positions tend to be better for conception
and she gave me a script for pre-natal vits
The one thing she stressed, was not to stress

My periods were very irregular before going on the pill also 10yrs ago...yet I got preggo the 1st month off of it so it is possible!!! Figure your body hasn't ovulated at all being on the pill so it will probably want to the 1st month off! Thats how my Dr. described it anyway.
You can ask the dr all the ovulation questions (signs, etc) but im sure you'll find them on here too.

Welcome to TTC!!!!
Ask your Dr for prenatals.
If your cycles are long or irregular you can get OPKs (Ovulation Perdictor Kit) or you can buy a Basal Body Thermometer and chart your temps. I just started doing this, and I don;t think I'm very good at it, lol.

I did not have such great luck. My first cycle off the pill was over 60 days.
I would ask for prenatal vitamins.
