There is a very high rate of false positives for that test. Mine came back off as well but not a close enough ratio that we felt an amnio or CVS was the answer. Instead we did additional non-invasive diagnostic testing. Everything came back normal with the additonal testing and the baby is VERY active, so Trisomy 13/18 has been ruled out at this point. Try not to stress, it is way worse for the baby.

Try not to worry, these tests can be wrong. There is still a greater chance that everything will be fine with your LO.

Ladies - thank you so much. Your words and prayers mean more than I can tell you.
Yesterday was the hardest day of our lives. DH and I are already in love with this baby. We walked into yesterday's appointment so niave and walked away with our hearts and minds so overwhelmed its still hard to express.
I am praying and hoping. I keep telling myself - 95% chance that everything is okay but its so hard to stay positive. I just have to make it to Thursday evening.
Thank you again for the words of hope.

I came out with a high chance on Downs Syndrome. I was like you and freaking out. We chose to do the amnio and everything is fine. These tests have a high false/positive rate.
