First WARM/Hot night...what is appropriate to dress DD in to sleep?
Anyone around? It's the first warm/hottish night...and I don't know what is appropriate to have DD sleep in.
Do I put on a lightweight cotton sleepsack and her ceiling fan? Or no fan/no sleepsack, just a short sleeve/no legs onesie?
Any advice appreciated, I have no idea how to go by myself b/c I am very hot flash feeling since delivery.
Thanks

right there with you... no idea.
I put jacen in his regular pj's, but have his window open. Before i go to bed, i'll probably shut the window and maybe put a blanket on him.
I hate this guessing game!

Do you know the temp in the room?
It's about 70 in our house right now, we normally keep it cool during the winter (goes down to 64 at night)-- on those cold nights, DD sleeps in fleece PJs and fleece sleep sack. Lately she's been in fleece PJs and cotton sleepsack.
Tonight, she's in her fleece PJs and no sleepsack.
Does that help at all??

Right now DD is half naked...that's how warm it feels in our house, to us esp.
I wonder if I should put on the sleepsack (cotton) with the short sleeve/no leg onesie on, with the fan on low?

For many mths now, I have had DD is a light cotton pg with feet, and a light cotton sleepsack. Nothing fleece since Jan/Feb so that seems warm to me. I have her dressed in a legless/short sleeve onesie. I don't know what to do!!! I hate to have to wake her during the night to put on the sleepsack but I worry it's too warm.
Ugh, I gotta get a thermometer for her room.

Yeah, my DD's room is always the coolest in the house (and my DH is way on top of the temperature in the house, so I always ask HIM how to dress her at night ).
I'm sure if she's cold she'll wake you up, better a bit chilly than warm.

I think I may have to just put on the light cotton sleepsack since she's in a legless/sleeveles onesie with no socks right now.

Re: First WARM/Hot night...what is appropriate to dress DD in to sleep?
I put Jack in a longsleeve shirt, shorts and his lightweight sleepsack. I have to go upstairs and see how hot it is. The top floor of my house gets scorching even with the CAC so I am hoping it's not too bad tonight.

I went by weather.com... 60's tonight for our area so...
2 year old DC's are in 2 piece long sleeve cotton pj's with socks (onesie underneath), and ceiling fan on low since we are on a second floor, windows closed.

how old is dc and do you swaddle.
If you swaddle, then light cotton onesie with no feet and short sleeves and a swaddle.
If you do not waddle i would say a cotton onesie with sleeves and feet.

Re: First WARM/Hot night...what is appropriate to dress DD in to sleep?
I am curious as well. Currently I have DD dressed in a cotton one piece.. I think I'll put a lightweight blanket on her for the night, I have the windows open in my bedroom, so it might be a little chilly with the breeze. I figured, better her being too warm than cold, right?

Re: First WARM/Hot night...what is appropriate to dress DD in to sleep?
She's in a short sleep dress with a diaper cover underneath.
I dont change her from daytime to nighttime outfits (am i a bad mom for that one? ) unless she's wearing something totally not bed friendly (buttons, bows, etc) mostly her stuff is all soft and comfy enough for sleep.
so more than a onsie but less than a footsie
We also just opened her windows. She gets cranky when she's hot and she gets too warm at anything over 78!!!
(LOL want to move to Texas?!??!)
