Floor lamp too short
I bought a floor lamp to go in a corner behind my couch but it's a little too short for my taste. Any ideas of what I can use as a stand to give it some more height? No one will be able to see this "stand" so it doesn't matter if it's something ugly.

Put a couple of bricks under it, or a sturdy shoebox.

I would just take some 2x4s and make something real quick. That way, you could make it whatever height you wanted, and you wouldn't have to worry about how sturdy it was.

I'm going to make my husband make me a wood block. I think that's the best option. This lamp is rather heavy.
