Flu shot question

I just got the flu shot today but I just found out people get sick from it. Is that true?

Re: Flu shot question

Its not a live vaccine so I don't believe you can get sick from it...or that's what I've been told

Re: Flu shot question

You can't get the flu from the flu shot. The virus is dead when they stick it in your arm. But like with many vaccines, there is a small chance you could run a fever or feel achy -- which sometimes makes people think they have the flu.

Re: Flu shot question

I just got my flu shot last night and asked my doctor about this. He said that it is physically impossible to get the flu from it. If you do get the flu, you were going to get it anyway regardless of the shot. HTH

Re: Flu shot question

The flu shot has a dead specimen of the flu. There is no way to get sick from it. Your arm might hurt for 24 to 48 hours but that is the worst of it.

Re: Flu shot question

Often a coincidence, or psychosomatic. Usually, when you get a shot, you are at a Dr. office, full of sick people.... also, many people *think* the shot makes you sick, so they may actually be making themselves feel symptoms of being sick, when they really aren't.
