Flying w/ 18 month old
Would you/Have you done it?
I'm about to book a flight to visit my mother in Montana. I would be flying out there with her(she'll be here for a family christening) and then flying back with DS by myself. DH will be on a business trip in Texas.
Now here's the thing, I'm NOT good with flying. I'm not afraid, but my nerves get the best of me. Anxiety through the roof! Do you think I should do it, even with a high spirited child entering his terrible two's? And if you have done it, please, please share your experiences.

Re: Flying w/ 18 month old
We flew recently with DC. DD was 12 months, and DS was 4yo. DD slept most of the time. We brought plenty of snacks, toys, activities, etc.
2 years ago, we went to FLA with DS, and I spent most of the time either pointing out things in the window, watching DVDs, or playing games with him. Plenty of snacks again, too.
I think it's harder on the parents than the kids...

Re: Flying w/ 18 month old
I'll be honest - I flew with Jake at 12 months - it was great, at 17 months...yikes! Nightmare!! Then again at 2 years old (just a few weeks after his birthday) and it was GREAT - even easier than at 12 months!
For some reason that age was NOT good for travel for him... but things might be different with your child...
