Flying with a child who has tubes in their ears...
My DD has tubes in her ears and we are flying to Michigan at the end of the week - will her ears hurt on the plane? I forgot to ask her ENT at our appt this morning and figured I would probably get an answer here faster than if I called the office.

I had tubes as a child. I've always been in pain during takeoff and landing even with chewing gum, wearing ear planes, etc. The only pleasant flights were when I had tubes. My ears didn't bother me at all.

Re: Flying with a child who has tubes in their ears...
one of the great things about tubes, NO pain while flying..pain is due to pressure building up in the ear canal, that does not happen with tubes
smooth sailing...
