FMLA Question....I am so annoyed

Does anyone know if the doctor can sign you out of work (if you dont have any medical problems and a so far so good heatlhy pregnancy) before 38 weeks?

It depends completely on the doctor, if you are swollen or are complaining of too much pain or pressure, they may be willing to...... but, it totally depends on the Doctor...

I've been out of work since 26 weeks- but my job was flight attendant.

But, I just told her, "I'm done, it's too uncomfortable" and she signed me off (even though she said I was physically OK to continue.

Any FMLA time you take prior to the birth of your baby will be deducted from the 12 weeks. If you go out 2 weeks before the birth, you only have 10 weeks remaining under FMLA. If this is regarding you, wouldn't you rather keep the FMLA time to spend with the baby, especially if medically you dont need to be out of work now?

Yes I would but my commute is 2 1/2 hours in the morning I live in PA. My job does not want to let me leave earlier than June 19th. My plan was to use my vacation days and go out on June 5th but my job has refused. I am so upset with them right now. Chat Icon
