Food allergy rash

So for the last 2 weeks or so Alexa has had a mild rash on her belly, no where else. They look like small pin pricks and are pink

She doesn't seem to be bothered my it... its pretty faint at times....

I don't know if its a food allergy or what???

Any suggestions??

Re: Food allergy rash

has she had any new foods lately??

you can try moisturizing it every day - could just be winter dry skin...and if it doesn't go away, then it might be.

I have no idea she eats everythign now....

I'm researching online and I *think* it may be prickly heat.... looks just like it and its only on her belly

I can't imagine her being that hot??? Our house is FREEZING!!! LOL

Re: Food allergy rash

Maria have you used any new bath products or lotions? New detergent? Has she been around any new kind of animal? Household cleaner? Etc.

Could it be a reaction to any meds she was on while sick?

Food allergies in my experience tend to be more blotchy or raised.

no none of the above.... its really mild thats why i'm thinking it may be prickly heat... it looks just like it from some of my text books. I have an appt with the ped next week so I'll see what she says as long as it doesn't get worse....

Re: Food allergy rash

My Brooke has had the same thing this week. I think it may be linked to the pears I have given her though..The doctor said to stop pears and just give the foods that she has not eaten with out a reaction. Once the rash clears for a week I can start a new food..but stay away from the pears for a while. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it either.
