Food/Feeding Question: 11mths+

Hi Ladies,

My DD is 11mths old and recently she has begun to reject her baby food. She eats stage 3 foods now. She only has her 4 front teeth (2 on top and 2 on bottom).

When she sees me eating from a plate, she wants my food. So I give her little pieces of chicken or ground turkey here and there. But she wont eat enough to fill her up and then she just starts playing with the food but refuses to finish her baby food.

I am wondering what are you ladies feeding your DC that are in her age range or a little older?

She loves her oatmeal and fruit in the morning but lunch and dinner are becoming struggles because I am at a lost for what to feed her.

So she makes up with it by drinking more milk and ped already told me that by age 1 she should only be drinking 2 cups of milk. So I dont want to increase her milk feedings.

Please any suggestions are welcome

my dd is 12/5 months and she does not want baby food anymore either. I give her the gerber "cubed" fruit so that she can feed herself and I give her whatever we are eating. Now that she can feed herself, she does not want me to feed her (unless it is yobaby - she loves that stuff)

DS will be 11 months in a few days.

honestly, daycare helps me out a lot on this one since DS did the same thing:- refused baby food.

he gets bananas mashed up, potatoes mashed, waffles, zieback toast, puffs, pieces of chicken, pieces of cheese, hummus, peas...basically whatever he will eat that he can pick up

I would just give whatever you are eating then... my DD got her teeth VERY late- and still only has 1 1/2 on the bottom- and she's 18 months' old- but she eats chicken, beans, etc- she can mash very well w/ her gums!
