Food related question
This may be a dumb question but here goes.
My friends are taking me to the Melting Pot tonight for a bday dinner. I know I am supposed to stay away from goat cheese and gorgonzola cheese. I have never been to the Melting Pot and just want to make sure what cheeses (besides the two above) I can't have. TIA!

Re: Food related question
I've been there 2x while being pregnant and didn't limit myself from anything, just made sure to cook the meats thoroughly

Re: Food related question
if you are talking about cheese fondue, it shouldn't matter at all, b/c the cheese is cooked.

Re: Food related question
From what I've read on here it seems like every Dr. has its own rules But, my OB said the following about cheeses...No: Unpastuerized cheese, moldy cheeses (blue cheese etc.), Feta, Fresh Mozzarella (unless cooked)...that is all i can remember! Oh and some of the soft cheeses were no good... Have Fun!

Re: Food related question
Ok, thank you! I think sometimes I over analyze whats "right" and "wrong" to eat.

Re: Food related question
I've read that any pasturized cheese is fine. In my supermarket I buy pasturized feta and pasturized fresh mozzerella. My doc says that as long as they're made with pasturized milk, they're fine for me to eat. When I eat out I ask if the cheese is pasturized. Most of the time it is. I do stay away from blu cheese though. Even though I love it, it's still moldy cheese.
