? For BTDT Moms of Toddlers re: 2 yr Molars
Does the teething pain and crankiness seem MUCH worse at night usually? DS is fine during the day, but after his afternoon nap and into the evening he's MISERABLE, cranky, and throws constant fits. I've had to resort to Motrin since Wednesday night, every night since then. It's that bad. And he seems a little better after that kicks in. IS this okay/normal with 2 year molars? It's wearing me out and I feel so bad for him. It's not fun and it seems like he's been trying to cut these for a while now....

During the day he is probably distracted by everything he is doing and that's why it might seem worse. Molar stick.

We're dealing with sleepless nights and constant wake ups over here too.

So, those that have BTDT, how do you deal/make them feel better and are your little one's extra clingy and cranky during the day as well as at night? Just not as bad?

Do you see the teeth cutting?
My DD went through this as well and I really thought it was her molars. She was exactly like you described, however they never came in and the symptoms just stopped. I don't know if it was phase or something else. I can't explain it, but after a few weeks she stopped acting that way and there are no molars to be found (she has all her other teeth.)

I don't realy see any teeth, my babysitter said she can KIND OF feel one of the two year molars coming in, it's just been going on FOREVER it seems.

I feel like this was how it was for us too. Then out of nowhere, 2 molars popped in a few weeks later. Maybe its the initial pushing up even though we can't see it. Hope it passes quickly

Re: ? For BTDT Moms of Toddlers re: 2 yr Molars
My DD is almost 27 months and acting the same way!! At night she cries in her crib and says teeth teeth ouchy over and over. Its heartbreaking!! I have been giving her the orajel and the teething tabs and motrin when necessary but she is waking at least 1x a night crying. I can feel one pushing at the surface on the bottom but I cannot feel the other 3 at all. I feel like this is going to be a long teething session

Just today John yawned and I saw one of the molars is coming through so now why he has been so cranky and not sleeping well. ( besides he did have a slight ear infection and his asthma acted up again). So we are giving him Motrin now. He works wonders.

Re: ? For BTDT Moms of Toddlers re: 2 yr Molars
Thank you all so much. It has been just such a long weekend that I feel terrible WANTING to go to work tomorrow... Makes me feel like the world's WORST mommy when I should WANT to be here to comfort him but I can't wait to get away for a while.
Thanks for all of the great responses.... Helps to know I'm not alone.
P.S Doesn't help that he has a HUGE goosegg on his head now. His cousin was playing with his plastic tee ball bat and smacked him in the head. It's a pretty nasty bump so here I go again...
Thanks for letting me vent this all out, DH isn't the best at listening to me whine AT ALL...
