With Ryan I said "ouch" a lot. I didn't yell or scream it, just repeated it a lot. My mom was making fun of me "that's it - just "ouch"?

With Colin DH was making fun of me b/c in the last 20-minutes when Colin was coming down, I was tossing my body around saying "no, no, no" the same way Ryan does when he doesn't want to do something.

I did plenty of grunting during my pushing for both - luckily pushing was under 10-minutes for both, but I was pain drug free and it hurt.

Nope not really. A little groaning through contractions (my epi really only took on one side), but not louldly. As for pushing, I said "ouch this hurts!" a couple of times, but I was fairly calm. No screaming. I only pushed for 30 minutes though. My mom told me afterwards that she was actually rather impressed by how quietly I handled it. The woman about 3 rooms over was so loud she probably scared people on other floors though Chat Icon

I had pitocin and the epidural didn't take effect- so you can bet your butt I was very vocal. I kept telling the nurse to shut up because she was lecturing me about breathing too fast. DH says I yelled out a few choice words, too, but I don't remember thatChat Icon

I also laughed when I looked up and saw an entire wall lined with students watching me give birth with dopey grins on there faces. I didn't even realize they were there all up in my business until I stopped for a breather.Chat Icon

Is was different every time. I screamed and yelled during my last labor, but that was with no pain meds. I was silent with my epidural births.

No, I was very quiet...I mean I was talking with my husband and the nurses/Dr, but no screams, yells, groans or grunts. And I delivered 100% drug-free.

Pushing for 3 years, hells yea I screamed and yelled. And my nurse, whom I HATED told me to BE QUIET! She said she doesnt care for screamers and it does nothing to get the baby out..well I basically told her to go F herself and continued yelling. It didnt help though, I needed a c. LOL

GEEEEEEEEZ your hoo-ha must've KILLED after that 3 year push! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

No screaming, cursing or grunting here. No pain meds. 3 failed epidurals, pitocin, and a freakin antibiotics IV in my hand, making it really difficult to grip my legs and/or bed rails. In fact, I was having a full conversation with the delivery doc. They told me I was a freak of nature. Chat Icon

Freudian slip I guess..I FELT like I was pushing for 3 YEARS!! HAHA 3 hours is what I meant. Chat Icon

I don't think I did and strangely, I don't remember hearing anyone else yelling or screaming either. It was eerily quiet. And I could tell from the monitor that there were other women in labor, but I really don't remember hearing much of anything!

And I was in L&D from 4am until 5pm!

My labor was like a scene from a movie with the screaming and yelling, except with more profanity. lol
I pushed for a little over an hour, completely natural, no epi or anything. Thank God it was the middle of the night. I *think* I was the only one in labor and delivery at the time. lol

I think I screamed twice and my L&D nurse kept yelling at me to stop wasting my energy on yelling and push Chat Icon

I literally screamed, moaned and cried before the epi. I thought I was going to pass out and die from the pain. After the epi and while pushing - not a sound. I was in heaven.

I didn't scream, yell or grunt. I remember my whole body shaking! My whole body trembled uncontrollably my whole labor and delivery. I cried a lot too. Just whimpering out of fear and emotion... I think...
