For Moms who use a bedtime routine with DC..
I always thought that once the baby got used to the bedtime routine there would be no more crying/fussing at bedtime. MY DS is 11 1/2 months old and we have been doing the SAME EXACT bedtime routine every night since he was 2 months old. Still EVERY NIGHT, without fail, between being zipped in his sleep sack and the bottle being put in his mouth he cries/whines/fusses.... Do your DCS do this, or is it smooth sailing putting them to bed with no whines????
Thanks!

Jack whines while I am getting him dressed. It's torture - the whining.
The second he sees that bottle though - he's all smiles!

I know what you mean. I dread walking up the stairs b/c that's when the whining starts. I guess it's part of his "routine" to whine every night but I thought I was doing the bedtime routine thing so that he WOULDN'T whine about going to bed....

Jacob is 16 months and occassionally he still does this. Now that he has mastered the word "NO" along with crying when I am putting on his PJs, he is saying "no,no,no". When I put him in his crib at the regular time, he falls asleep right away. I think that at that point, he is just really overtired.

We have been doing the bedtime routine for a year and a half, and until about 6 months ago Noah would cry every night when we left the room. Now he just sings and plays with his trains

DD also whines and I think it is because she is tired and knows she is going to sleep. Once I nurse her and put her in her crib she is out like a light!
