? for peanut allergy moms

Yesterday I was in Target and gave the boys Ritz peanut butter crackers as a snack. They were in their stroller, not a shopping cart. Would that have been dangerous if a child w/ a peanut allergy came close to us? I didn't even think about it at the time. I don't know much about this allergy.

Yes, it could have been, depending on how severe the allergy is. Some kids only need to inhale the peanut butter to have a reaction. Or if they had some on their hands and then touched something on a shelf, or dropped a piece on the floor, etc.

That being said, I know I can't control what other people do so I have to be careful. I'm glad they weren't in a shopping cart though - and you just raised a concern for me I never even thought of before...

I'm not a peanut allergy mom but I am glad you brought this up too Jen, it's not something I ever considered being on the other side of things... I tend to not give my kids peanut products in general because they are so messy but it's a good point!
