On the first floor or second?

Ours is on the first in the back of the house. Our windows face our backyard.

Re: For those who have homes with two floors - Where is your bedroom?

Currently, our bedroom is downstairs, with DD's room. DS is upstairs. After we redo the house next year, all bedrooms will be upstairs.

I like the idea of the private space being upstairs, if possible. That way, visitors stay downstairs, and don't need to see the personal areas. Plus, if someone is sick, they can stay upstairs and out of the way. When I'm really sick, I don't want to deal with anyone, especially visitors.

second floor facing the side and back. Another bedroom is on the second floor and there are two on the main floor, one of which we use as a guest room and the other as an office.

We have a cape so technically, it's supposed to be downstairs.

We decided we wanted to have it upstairs though!

Re: For those who have homes with two floors - Where is your bedroom?

We just put another floor on our front-to-back split. Master bedroom and two additional bedrooms are on top floor and one original bedroom is on what used to be the top floor. Not sure if that makes sense. Chat Icon

our house is an expanded ranch. We have three bedrooms on the main floor & two upstairs.
We use the upstairs as our "grownup" area, so we always have privacy. It our bedroom, bath, gym & craft room/loft. our bedroom looks out to the backyard & north to the lake.
our kids are older & their rooms are on the main floor as well as the guest room.
