I had the Ford Escape and I got the Ford Edge. I LOVE it.
Love the vista roof
Love how it drives
Love the ipod connection
Hate filling it up with gas.

We leased an 08 Edge in January.
Only con - gas
Love the pick up, love the roominess, love the style, love the IPod connector, love the DVD player, smooth ride...really, no complaints!
We looked at comparable vehicles:
Mazda CX-9 we didn't like the interior and it isn't as roomy, not as good pick up
Toyota Rav 4 - didn't like the body style and I also didn't like the spare on the back of the truck.
Nissan Murano - we love this car but when we were looking they hadn't released the 2009 yet and there was no 2008
Lincoln MKX - nothing not to love except the additional $$ - very similar body style, similar interior, similar functions, etc

my friend just got one. I love it...it looks just like the Lincoln...and is super cheap-I think she pays something like $259/month.

Our Interior Designer just got one and she has raved about it, she loves it and it has plenty of room for all her design samples.

test drove it and loved it!
my only con is that it didn't seem to have enough power on a highway merge and the interior was a little plain comared to others in it's class. (I test drove the SEL)
but LOVE the vista roof and the looks of it

I just bought one 2 weeks ago and absolutely LOVE it. Its really peppy and it has great pick up. So far, I have no complaints. I hate filling up, but thats a fact of life living on Long Island.
Totally recommend it.

I lease one, it is a limited which I now would not have leased. Not worth the money, but it is a fun good looking car. The vista roof is great and it is roomy.
