foreign exchange help
Mom leaving for Europe today. I want her to have some euros now BC she needs to take cab... Do you think she should get euros at JFK or wait to get to Barcelona airport? Do you think its best to use her debit card for purchase during trip then getting a bunch of euros. How about using her credit card?

Re: foreign exchange help
I always use an ATM when traveling because I take what I need. Nothing sucks more that having 300 euros in your wallet when u return home. Just make sure she calls her bank to let them know she's traveling.
Only thing that sucks more than leftover euros is a credit card blocked. Lol

If she happens to have a Capital One credit card, there are no foreign transaction fees.

I would not advise getting them at the airport as the exchange rate sucks there. If she goes to her local bank they can usually get some in a day or 2. I always use my atm/credit cards when I am away though.
