Formula Feeding 4 Week Old Question- PLEASE HELP
I feel like I'm losong it and not cut out for this. DS is 4 weeks old today. He hardly gives me 3 hours between each feeding and only takes 4 oz at each feed. Nighttime is a nighmare. I thought I remembered from my first DS going longer at night by now. I HAVE to go back to work 10/19 and don't know how I possibly can do it. When does sleep generally get better?
TIA

Do you use powdered formula? If yes, maybe try the ready to feed. It is thicker. If not, try going up to 4.5.

We do use powder and when we have given 5 oz he either doesn't finish or if he does seems to get a belly ache.

Re: Formula Feeding 4 Week Old Question- PLEASE HELP
I don't think it's unheard of for a 4 week old to go less than 3 hours until the next feeding. In fact, I think that's completely normal

Yup. First 2 months were awful. I BF, but it was the same deal. I'd fall asleep feeding DS (DANGEROUS!!!) from pure exhaustion.
Hang in there!

Re: Formula Feeding 4 Week Old Question- PLEASE HELP
My DS was the same way. I BF'd but he never went more than 2-3 hours between feedings at that age. It wasn't until he was a few months old that he started to sleep a bit longer in between. I feel your pain - there were days that blurred together b/c I felt like ALL I did ALL day long was feed him. But it did get better... it just takes time, unfortunately. I know it's easier said than done, but try to hang in there!!
