Formula question? Can you cool, reheat, cool, reheat?

I prepare all of DS's bottles the night before. We put it in a bottle warmer before we feed him to take the chill out.

Well, this morning, at 3:45am Chat Icon , it sounded like he was waking up, so I headed downstairs to put his bottle in the warmer while I changed him. DS then fell back asleep in the meantime so I put the bottle back in the fridge.

DS didn't wake until 5:30am, at which point I removed same bottle from fridge and reheated again.

My question: Would all of this cooling, reheating, etc spoil the formula? I didn't think so, but DH thinks it would.

TIA!

He is on Nutramigen... and it smells so bad I woudn't know if it was spoiled or not! LOL!

Our Dr told us if its been out for less then an hour we could reheat once. That's what we're been doing and there has never been any problems.

i agree with this - as long as you refrigerated it immediately after warming it the first time, i think you are fine.

I did this once and was too worried,so I would not do it again. DD was fine but afterwards I realized it was probably not worth doing again.
