Fort Salonga
Hi we live close to fort salonga now and are thinking of moving there. Are fine with either the northport or kings park school districts. Thoughts on the Fort Salonga area? Another area we are pondering is Charter Oaks in Kings Park but not sure which of the two to focus on. Any feedback appreciated.

Re: Fort Salonga
We recently moved to Fort Salonga, in the KP school district. We are really happy here! It's a quiet area and we like how many beaches, parks etc there are. The Sunken Meadow parkway is so close making the highways accessible. My DS just finished his first year in the schools, and we are really happy so far. I hear Charter Oaks is a nice area too, but I have no first hand experience.
FM me if you have any other questions!

Charter Oaks is a great area, lots of new young fmailies starting to move in. The neighborhood is starting to turn over as the original families are downsizing. My parents are still there. With the exception of two houses in the entire neighborhood that I can think of, everyone takes great care of their homes. The only two road I would NOT live on are Twin Oaks and Country Oaks - both are the main arteries in and out of the neighborhood and busy.
The other roads are all very quiet bc they arent a cut through to anything. If you have children, great roads to play on and ride their bikes around on.
There is a small pond in the woods at the end of twin oaks that in the winter freezes of and kids ice skate on and at the same end of twin oaks are the entrance to some beautiful trails that take you to Sunken Meadow.
Charter Oaks attends Fort Salonga Elementary in the KPCSD.
