Freaking out about my HCG level

hey girls i was doing some research on line about my HCG level. Mine seems SOOOO LOW compared to everyone else. I go back tommorow for round 2 of draws. But i just dont know why mine is only 49 and progesterone is 19 and everyone i have read posts on seems to be in the Hundreds if not thousands with progesterone levels in the 40's. I know the important thing is if they double just scares me how low they are to begin with because this is what happen with preg number 1. when i had blood drawn it was on 14DPO and according to when i ovulated i would only be 3 weeks at time of draw but according to last lmp i would be 4 weeks. thanks for letting me ventChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Everyone's HCG is different. Wait until you get the 2nd result... I am sure it is all fine. Your progesterone is fine, that I know. Mine was an 8. I went on progesterone suppositories until Week 12. Good luck and try not to stress! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: Check out this website for HCG levels. According to it, a 49 is average at 14DPO. HCG Levels

As long as the number (hcg) doubles every 48-72 hours, you are fine. Everyone is different and has different numbers. Mine were higher only because I'm having twins!!

Mine were like that and my progestrone levels were horrendously low (we're talking 3 & 4)..my doctor at the time thought the pregnancy wasnt viable...

Re: Freaking out about my HCG level

It's not the number but the rise. Your progesterone is perfectly fine. If it dips below 15 they should put you on supplementary. If you are nervous ask your Dr to put you on now. It will not stop a miscarriage from a chromosomal cause but will stop one caused my low progesterone. GL-I'm sure everything is fine. Also lots of people on here are pregnant through assisted reproduction so that may be why you hear these high numbers.

don't wory until your Dr voices concerns! Chat Icon

Also, don't take progesterone suppositories unless its necessary. It can increase the risk of certain developmental problems... it should therefore be reserved for those whose Dr's feel they really need it Chat Icon

I know you know a LOT but the risks are extremely small and include cleft palate(IMO a lot better than no baby at all) Like I said ask your Dr. and honestly wait for your second number don't worry too much about the single value.Chat Icon
