friendship spinoff
Do you have a core group of friends with whom you do everything, or do you have close friends from all different parts of your life, and see them in smaller groups or one-on-one?
The only real "group" of friends I have at this point are my college friends, who are friends of both me and DH. Even so, I have a couple of closer friends from that group who I tend to see one on one, or with whom DH and I will go out with as a couple.
Otherwise, I have friends from all different parts of my life. A couple of friends from my youth group in high school, a best friend from grad school, an old friend from hebrew school, etc. I don't really have a core group. Whenever I get my friends together, it's a mix of people from all different parts of my life, but everyone gets along.

i have a friend from high school, a few from college and a few from my job and my sister and cousin are close friends of mine as well. I have managed to intertwine all of them and when we go out, at times, we all get together. Its great! My sister always said that I really know how to pick great friends!

I have a circle of "city" friends- My best friend from childhood and I moved into the city at around the same time. She was single and I was with DH and she went out and met a bunch of people who are now my good friends.
Other than that, my college friends all know each other but all graduated in different years and were in different circles, so they are not close. Also, except for one- none of them live in NY.

From high school 1 close friend
From after that 2 close friends
and from work 4-5 close friends...

My core group of friends has basically been the same since I was 17. We all went to high school together and are still friends. Two of my best friends I have been friends with since we were 9. I have a few friends from college that I still keep in touch with as well.

I have a really good friend from HS.
A few that I grew up with, and after I got married we turned into a big group.
The only one that doesnt "hang out" with our group is my friend from HS. Shes out of state now, but, when she comes to NY her and I and our SOs will do something together.
I've been friends with Ro (luvsbob) since day 1. She introduced me to a nice bunch of her friends. Then I was close with a worker at my old job, who, introduced me to more people and we all basically just clicked!
