Frigidaire Appliances....

....any feedback?

We are giving our kitchen a "small facelift" and PC Richard has great deals on the figidaire appliances - we plan on totally re-doing the kitchen in 7-8 years, so want something to last til then.

Re: Frigidaire Appliances....

From what I understand the new Frigidaire appliances are not as good as the old ones were. Their build quality and reliability is just not there...That is why the package deals are always less money than the other brands.

THIS IS VERY TRUE. My family has them and they have had problems, and the parts are impossible to get and PC Richard doesn't carry them nor help you get them Chat Icon

things like the dishwasher, cannot be hooked up using the standard dish washer hookup. so it comes with it (although if you look at the ones in the scratch and dent center at pc richards none of them have it) if it breaks or you don't get one, its over $100 from fridigaire and if you buy a standard one for any other company's machine from HD or Lowes its like $12!!!
very fustrating to get parts.
I would expect a 5 year life as good with their products, after that expect problems. And I believe that is why they seem to be cheaper.

Re: Frigidaire Appliances....

We have a lot of frigidaire appliances - dishwasher, range, washer and dryer.
We did have a problem the the range - the clock assembly died about a year and a half after getting it, so we couldn't control the temperature of the oven. Frigidaire replaced the part for free, but we had to pay for the labor, which was a PITA.
We haven't had any issues with any of the other appliances. They were all easy to install (we did it ourselves) and from my experience with the range, the parts are not difficult to get at all (like a PP stated.)

Re: Frigidaire Appliances....

We bought a new construction in December 2006. Frigidaire appliances (dishwasher, stove, microwave) were included. Since they were included from builder, they are low to middle end of the line. We bought a middle of the line refrigerator to match. Love the refrigerator. Love the stove. The dishwasher and microwave aren’t so good. The dishwasher, doesn’t dry well, is very loud, and the timer to set it to start in 2 or 4 hours only works some of the time. The microwave door had problems after only about a year. This was probably caused by the fact that it is over the stove and I’m on the short side and I probably slightly pull the door downward when opening it. The door has alignment problems and has caused it to stop working and needed repair. This microwave won’t last much longer.
