FSH
Whats considered normal on CD3? Anyone know?
My numbers are within range but often on the "fair" side. Meaning low reserve. Not sure what this means. TIA

Re: FSH
FSH is often used as a gauge of ovarian reserve. In general, under 6 is excellent, 6-9 is good, 9-10 fair, 10-13 diminished reserve, 13+ very hard to stimulate.
ACUPUNCTURE is key in lowering fsh levels as well as, certain herbs and diet.
If you want I can explain to you more about the hormone and it's importance. Just forum mail me.
Estradoil, on day 3, is also used as a gauge, of how well you will stimulate. The lower the estradoil level the better as well.

My FSH was 12.7 and I am going for acupuncture weekly and taking an herbal supplement...I haven't had it tested again but I may have a BFP....

Re: FSH
the higest mine was was 11.1 and as low as around 9, maybe 8.5 once.
Is this ok?
Why would it be 8.5 one month and 11/1 the next?

Fsh levels fluctuate. Fertility meds, such as clomid or femara can increase fsh levels, because the pituitary gland makes more FSH to drive the ovary to develop more mature follies.
Injectibles don't work with the pituitary gland they work strictly with the ovary, so sometimes if a woman has an 'elevated' fsh level, the will go straight to injectibles.
Day 3 Fsh is really used as a gauge, to see if several follicules can be stimulated and possibly mature during a cycle.
Acupuncture/herbs are a wonderful tool in helping lower the fsh levels and you can always do some wheatgrass shots for fun :) The Infertility Cure by Dr. Randine Lewis is a great book.
They say the "MEAN' fsh level is about a 8. I believe high fsh levels are usually over 14.
