FTWM do you have a cleaning person?

I really want to get one. It's just very overwhelming. DH and I work a lot and I travel a few times a year. Yes, I can do a few things each night, but I don't want to do that. Who do you use and what do you pay? I saw older posts that people were paying $65-$80.

I do not. I can't justify the cost. I pick up daily and then do big cleaning on Sat morning. And by 10am its done.

If it took me longer then maybe I would think about it.

We got one just after DD was born, and it has helped tremendously. We no longer bicker about who does what, and it's helped to relieve a ton of stress for me. (I felt I needed to spend all my free time cleaning!) I live in the city, so can't help with a recco, but definitely suggest getting one for sure.

No I don't. I do all the cleaning at night when the kids are in bed & saturday mornings. I would get a cleaning if I could find someone I trust & that could do the job to my standards which is very hard to find.

No. When I worked full time I found the time. Not easy, but one room at a time. I'd clean while they ate or at night. Also on the weekends I'd do a big cleanup Sunday. I work from home now so it's easier.
Since no one was home during the day anyway it wasn't too bad and we got home late that there was really no toy time. It was usually dinner, bath and bed. The house stayed clean all day. I'd wipe down a lot as the day went and my DS liked to vacuum. Lol. Not that he did, but when I take it out he likes to help so we make a game of it. My parents live around the corner and when needed they sent their cleaning person over to me once in a while.

No, but I am looking in to getting one. I hate spending my Saturdays cleaning and I just don't want to do it during the week. Now that the weather is getting nicer, I really would like to have someone come every other week.

yes and I think its the best money that we spend- $65 every other week. I'm away from ds enough without wasting my time with him cleaning.

Yes - I pay $50 every other week & she takes care of all of the "public spaces" (I still do the 3 bedrooms). I constantly tidy up, but I hate spending time cleaning when I'm home & can be playing with the kids instead...having her come every other week saves my sanity & helps to alleviate some of the "mommy guilt" that I feel because I work FT.

ETA: I use a friend of a family member, but she's not taking on any new houses right now (I just asked her for a friend a week or 2 ago).

Yes! It is the greatest thing I ever did. I Live on S.I. but I pay $100 every two weeks. We got one when my DS was born. It really helped me out with all the stress of having to clean the house on Sat/Sun when I wanted to spend my time with DS. I think if you don't mind spending the money it is worth it.

Yes. We have her come every other week.

We take care of the day to day things but, it's nice to have someone come in and do a deep clean.

We don't....yet. I am currently up for a promotion though and if it goes through we have decided we are definitely getting a cleaning lady to come bi-weekly.

I am a PTWM and we have one.

$90 every two weeks.

I was VEHEMENTLY against one if you see my old posts. Bottom line - she definitely does NOT clean as well as me but I get more time with my family.

If you can afford it - do it.

I've considered it. But I find a way to keep the house clean. I do a little every day and bigger cleaning jobs on the weekend. I just can't justify the extra money.

Yes, comes 1X every 2 weeks. IMO, worth it because I just don't want to spend my entire Sat scrubbing my house top to bottom.

absolutely agree! $100 every other week, worth it for me. I'd rather have the time with DS. I straighten up in between but no longer spend a weekend morning doing a deep clean.

I dont, but I have been looking for one for such a long time!!! I live in Albertson/Mineola if anyone can recommend one. I try to clean the best I can but the house in my opinion still looks dusty/dirty.
