Funeral Question
My mom's aunt just passed away. Do you think funeral homes are open for the 4th of July?

I think the funeral home might be open, but the cemetery will probably be closed on the 4th.

A relative of mine passed away this morning and the wake will be held Thurs & Friday and the funeral is Sat. It's not a religious holiday so they're not closed. I’m sorry for your loss.

My grandfather passed away a few years ago and we had his wake on New Years Eve and Day and he was buried the day after. I think the big holidays they are closed. I am so sorry for your loss.

My grandmother passed away before XMas this year...While they were open, they would have had to pay the gravediggers a lot of extra money for over time so the cemetary suggested we do it the next day!
