Game of Thrones - 06/09 - [Spoilers]
Good morning!
So is everyone happy that they know who is torturing Theon now? Quite a family, those Boltons are.
That scene with Jon and Ygritte was sad. And I want to smack Joffrey even more than ever. I AM THE KING! I know I know, you keep telling us that.

Game of Thrones - 06/09 - [Spoilers]
While the episode was good as they all are, I too was a bit disappointed. Last week was so gasp worthy that this episode didn't have the same umph!

Me too. Last week should've been the finale, silent credits and all.
What a snooze fest.

And to close it with Dany & her dragons, right?
I swear I thought she was going to get knifed in the last shot.

Re: Game of Thrones - 06/09 - [Spoilers]
I agree that the finale wasnt as exciting as I had expected. The one moment that had me gasp was when Ygritte shot Jon with the bow I screamed at the TV, I felt so bad for him...I hope he doesnt die. Can someone clarify to me what the point was for him to join the wildings if he was going to remain a crow, was it to save himself at that moment when they would have killed him?
The scene when they had the wolf head on Rob's body and Ayra was watching really broke my heart...poor girl. Im happy she is with the hound though. He will keep her safe.
I cant wait to see Bran try to get rid of the White Walkers. This season finale really set things up for next season, there is so much to look forward to.
Im actually glad that Theon's sister is going to go save him. Although I hate him, I feel that he has had enough. Or maybe I am just sick of that storyline...

Yes, it seems to be a trend that the big finale moment is in the 2nd to last show - Ned Stark's beheading, Blackwater Bay, the Red Wedding...
Because of that, I didn't expect much just basically reactions to what happened and a setup for next year.

Yes and to be a 'double agent' of sorts. They didn't have much insight into the wildling's movements or anything really. They forced him to kill Quorin, but he never fully joined them. He just didn't count on Ygritte and she really complicated things for him.
Even Ygritte knew, she always corrected him when he said "you" instead of "we" but they loved each other anyway.

I still think it's amazing how much I love Jaime Lannister...considering his incestuous relationship with his sister, the children they had together in secret, and the fact that he pushed Bran out a window to keep his secret sex life with his sister safe. But he's so damn likeable now!!!

Re: Game of Thrones - 06/09 - [Spoilers]
I totally agree- even my mother said "they at least could have poked someone's eye out."
Looks like they are really setting things up for next season. Theon's torturer is really twisted and I sincerely hope at some point Joffrey gets something really awful done to him (please don't confirm if you read the books, LOL)
On another note, I am PUMPED for True Blood next week!!

Re: Game of Thrones - 06/09 - [Spoilers]
This episode was more to tie up the characters before the next season.
I'm worried about Jon Snow. And about Arya. She's seen horrible things and her mind is going that direction. Maybe thats a plus though because according to Tywins success, you have to be ruthless.
I'm curious about how Bran's worg powers play out.
Shae should've taken the diamonds and ran. I think if Tyrion gets caught alone with her, something will happen to her by Joffrey or Tywin.
I don't know if I can wait until next season, I'm going to catch up on the books. As fun as it is to watch it unfold for the first time on tv, I want to know what happens now!

When you consider that the theme seems to be that every character takes on opposite personality characteristics throughout the show, it makes sense that Arya would lose her innocence. She was always mischievous and Jon knew it, which is why he gave her Needle and not a doll or something She's learning a lot from the lawlessness of the men she's meeting, and remembering less of her father's lessons.
I yearn for a Stark reunion, any reunion. Even Sansa, who I'm not a big fan of. But I guess that's the point isn't it?
