Re: Game of Thrones Season Finale - 6/15 SPOILERS
I was confused by the scene with Varys at the end. He watched the crate with Tyrion be put on the ship, then walked away. Then when he heard the bells ringing indicating that Tywin had been found, he went back and sat next to the crate. So he was on the ship. but why? did he think that he would be somehow implicated so he might as well leave too? Or was he not on the boat at all?
They've changed up enough things in the books that i'm wondering where they're going to go with a lot of the story lines now.
Really loved this episode though!! Great to see Shea get what she deserved, and Tywin to get killed while on the toilet

Game of Thrones Season Finale - 6/15 SPOILERS
I think Varys went back on the ship because he had a feeling some how it would track back to him. Maybe???

I cried when The Hound was dying. He truly did love Arya like she was his own. I cried when he was trying to make her so angry that she would be enraged enough to kill him. I cried when Arya just doesn't have it in her to be this vengeful killer she do desperately wants to be. I was also upset when The Hound & Brienne were fighting. It was just so incredibly brutal!
I also cried when Tyrion discovered that Shay was sleeping with his father. This poor guy can't have one person on his side, I'm glad he finally snapped... Too bad he didn't go and seek out his sister to continue his killing spree. I loved the irony that Tywin was killed with the crossbow that was commissioned by Joffrey.
Now my question about Jon is, did she know Jon Snow was still alive? If Jon Snow is truly Ned Starks son, does that mean Stannis is now one step back in taking the iron throne? So.Many.Questions!
If Jon is truly Ned's son (if ) than Stannis is the rightful king... You have to ask yourself though .... where did the rumors come from that Joffrey and Tommen were NOT the true airs to the thrown. Someone must have known something because Cersai and Jamie were tight lipped for a very, very long time. The rumors did not originate with the Lannestirs
Didnt Ned find out -- it was written in some large book in season one. My memory is blurry!
Jon Arryn (married to Lisa, Caitlyn's sister aka kook who was shoved through the moon door.) was investigating the possibility of Cersei's kids being bastards. His dying words were to Robert Baratheon, "The seed is strong."- meaning every one of Robert's kids looked like him with dark hair.
When Ned was investigating Jon's death (which was by his own wife), he found out that he had looked into the book called "The Lineages and Histories of the Great Houses of the Seven Kingdoms" which listed what everyone looked like http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/The_Lineages_and_Histories_of_the_Great_Houses_of_the_Seven_Kingdoms
Ned knew by other means that is all

Ned knew that Joffrey, etc. were not Robert's? Feel free to FM me so you don't spoil anything for those that haven't read the book.
If you mean he knew about Jon's parentage, yes. I agree.

Yes Varys left because the passages, etc would be something he would know about & would be implicated in freeing Tyrion & Tywin's murder.
It's going um....somewhere If you really want to know, you can FM me but I'd wait until next season.

I cried when The Hound was dying.
Here's a little something to consider then...
We didn't SEE him die, did we? We didn't SEE Syrio Forel (Arya's 'dancing' teacher from Braavos) die either.
I, for one, don't believe that they are dead. If I don't see it, it didn't necessarily happen.
I have faith.
That's a good point, but regarding the Hound, it's very improbable... his wounds were lethal, and he was alone... if he were in a city where he could be treated by a maester, then I think I would be more confident of his possible survival.
I think GreenFreak has read the series, not that the show follows the books to a T, she might have some inside scoop!
I have read the books but I would never spoil anything for anyone. Thing is, I read them a LONG time ago and I have forgotten a lot of things, there's so much to keep track of.
So in other words, don't assume I'm teasing you and that I know something because I'm not
I think the Hound living is highly improbable, yes. But I wouldn't have thought a long thought dead dragon egg would hatch, that people could inhabit the minds of animals, or witches could birth smoke babies either.

They just finished with Book 3....but they've taken some things from later books and added them in, so it's not 100% true to the books.

Yes, like the whole Reek thing isn't until later books. But reading the books to #3 won't spoil the TV series. It does give a lot of backstory that isn't included.

Re: Game of Thrones Season Finale - 6/15 SPOILERS
I wasn't 100% thrilled with the finale honestly.
Some parts YES! like Tywin's end.
But really, what happened with Kahlessi? Nothing but her locking up her dragons, which I cried over by the way.
Nothing about poor Reek
Nothing about Sansa?
My heart broke for Jon Snow and the pyre

I have NOT read the books yet, but George RR Martin has not finished writing the books yet, and I believe there are 6 published? It could be 5.

There are 5 books. This season and next season are based on 3 and 4 but they are borrowing storylines already, and some things weren't in the books yet but they put it in the show. (the white walker turning the baby)
Supposedly, he's writing the 6th book now but he's notoriously slow and already told the creator/directors how the storylines play out, just in case.
So we are good for probably at least 2 more seasons.

Re: Game of Thrones Season Finale - 6/15 SPOILERS
The Hound and Brienne scene never happened in the books.... Knew that was coming with Tywin but a lot of good dialogue was cut. Readers of the book now what I mean.
