Gardening question

We put in one of those ornamental bushes in our front garden i call it a pom pom tree, its a jumiper not exactly sure of the exact name. It was doing great and now all of a sudden its turning brown, i felt the branches and it doesn't seem dry, so do you think i am giving it to much water? How do you if its getting to much or not enough water? Any ideas?

Re: Gardening question

maybe it is rejuvinating. I have a few bushes that "die" for a few weeks and then they rebloom and are gorgeous again. A lot of my annuals do that!!! I am not a gardner, but it is what I have experiences with my plants.

Re: Gardening question

How often do you water that area & for how long? Can you put a cup in that area and measure how much water it gets when the sprinklers are on?

Also, does it get any sun or is it in an area that gets water runoff from gutters or the driveway or something? Did you read the label when you bought it that has the sun, fertilizer and water requirements?

A picture would really help us to figure out what it is, and what it's needs are. I'm not that great on ID'ing bushes but once we do, that would really help. Chat Icon

It does get sun in the morning and it proably has been getting more water from the sprinklers latley becasue i was watering the flowers arein front of it. Which is why i thought to much water but i can measure it with a cup. I don't remember what the label said, you would think i should have said it.
I'll also take a picture when i get home
Thanks
