Gas Conversion?

Is there gas in your street? If you don't know then call the gas company and they will tell you.

Its not a quick process because you have to wait for the gas company to install the meter and get the gas to the house. Once that is done the contractor will take a day to do the rest of the work.

Its not a very quick process - you have to file the application with National Grid and then they get back to you with a date to come and run the gas line to the house (it was several months from the time of our app until they ran the line.) After that, you have to retain a company to come in and do install the new gas burner etc. So, if your oil burner is really done, not sure if you can get this done right away (but maybe if you explain to National Grid they can do a "rush" or something)

Theoretically, could you have National Grid come and run the line to the house, and then wait to have the plumber do his work?
